Town Hall Meeting with RBI: WEWA organized a town hall discussion in collaboration with the Reserve Bank of India, focusing on women’s access to credit, financial inclusion, and banking support systems.
Loan Mela – Guindy, Chennai: Facilitated loan assistance and subsidy linkages from State and Central Government schemes, enabling women to secure financing for their business ventures.
Export–Import Training Program
In collaboration with FIEO (Federation of Indian Export Organisations), WEWA conducted an intensive Import–Export Orientation Program at SIDCO Hall, Guindy, helping women entrepreneurs explore international markets and export opportunities for their products.

Training
WEWA offers a holistic suite of development programs including IT training, engineering graduate upskilling, academic scholarships, webinars, and entrepreneurial workshops—all designed to empower weaver communities and marginalized youth through enhanced skills, mentorship, and business-building opportunities.
WEWA has established in Tailoring & Embroidery in Chennai, running year‑round programs in skills like tailoring, terrace gardening, mushroom cultivation, and beauty services including bridal makeup and house keeping.
They also run mega entrepreneurship workshops (“Singa Pennae”) across multiple districts, featuring six skill-training sessions per event and stalls to market participants’ creations .

- Cottage industries: Fashion designing, candle making, jute & handicraft production
- Marketing & export capacity: E‑marketing, import‑export training, and vendor onboarding

- Palm-leaf crafts, simple household chemicals, napkin making, and banana-fibre products – included in entrepreneurship skill programs
- Beauty parlour management, solar products, dress designing, Rexine/fabric bag making, cell‑phone servicing, set-top box repair – offered via Kanyakumari, Ariyalur, and similar hubs
- Jam, squash, ice‑cream, pickles, masala‑powder making – included in home‑industry vocational programs
- Herbal napkin/soap, millet products, panai‑olai (tapping toddy/palm) – featured in workshops held at Anna University events
- DIY doll making, chocolate training, wire‑basket, cloth‑bag weaving, candle making, fashion jewelry & jute products – offered at mega conferences and monthly stalls
